Notton Tennis Club has a Centenarian

In August last year we wrote about our member Tom Hicks and his fame as the Oldest Tennis Player in the UK (opens a new window).
The most important event on our calendar this year has been that Tom, a founder member of our club, was 100 years old this month.
We celebrated last week with a BBQ at the side of the courts. The weather was not kind to us but nevertheless it was enjoyed by Tom’s friends and co-members. Tom decided to stop playing tennis only three weeks ago and we will all miss him.
