Cricket Clubs in Notton for 2026

We're delighted to announce that yet again, and for the third year running we have two separate cricket teams playing the 2026 season, both based from Notton's Sports and Social Pavilion.
Notton Cricket Club
NCC enjoyed a highly successful 2025 season, culminating in a thrilling playoff final. The team needed to win in Division 4 to become league leaders, and they accomplished this goal. As a result of their league victory and restructuring within the Pontefract & District League, NCC has now been promoted to Division 2.
To build on their recent achievements and encourage new members to join, NCC is planning a six-week trial of T20 games. These matches will be held on Tuesday evenings during May and June. Click here for details 2026 Fixtures Lists.
NottonChallengers
As in 2024, and 2025 we will again be joined by NCH, who will play alternate weeks at the ground. This club had great success in the Sheffield League under the name Sheffield Superstrikers Cricket Club, and continue in this vein as Notton Challengers Cricket Club.
Competing in Division 2 of the Pontefract & District League in 2025, NCH's efforts culminated in a closely contested playoff final which they won by 25 runs, earning them the Beaumont Trophy for 2025. NCH has now been promoted to the Championship Division.
2026
With both teams looking forward to the 2026 cricket season, there is plenty of excitement ahead. Cricket enthusiasts from the village and beyond are warmly invited to attend match days and support the teams.
