Here's a selection of her photos showing how the day went
and the beautiful cake and balloon arch that greeted her guests as they arrived.

The winning shot!
Doesn't this photograph say it all?
17 year old Seth Jackson - one to swatch by all accounts.
Congratulations Seth!
We were pleased to welcome this very popular event to Notton again for the second year running. The race started from Notton Village Hall attracted around 60 riders from all regions of the UK.
The Race is a memorial for Lewis Smith who sadly passed away after a cycling accident almost 3 years ago in Hemsworth.
Lewis was four days away from his 18th birthday when he died and was much loved by all in his club, Calder Clarion.
Lewis lived for cycling and racing and the Club decided to run a race in his memory.
For further information about this event, please call Ian Smith, Lewis’ father and Calder Clarion Club Race Organiser on 07800 632456.
Thank you
Notton Bonfire and Firework Event

Saturday 2nd November 2024
Our army of amazing volunteers deliver year after year. 2024 was no exception, and we were pleased to be joined by a few new faces this year too, allowing us to run this event smoothly and efficiently with a minimum of disruption. We couldn't do it without you all!
Our Bonfire and Firework event has fundraising at its heart, and over the years the event has raised thousands of pounds for both the local community and many local charities.
This year was no exception. For 2025 we were able to make charitable donations to:-
We also made donations to:-
Finally we were able to buy an additional defibrillator. We now have one outside the Village Hall and one housed at the top of the village too. If you click here to view the News! page and scroll down to April 2025 you can see more information and photos on how our defbrillator is being used in Notton Parish.
Here's a selection of photos, from the building of the bonfire, and the start of the massive catering programme, and a couple of firework shots too.

Bonfire and Fireworks for Notton Residents and families
Bonfire and Fireworks for Notton Residents and families
This was the bonfire event that nearly wasn't. Following the decision not to go ahead with our usual event which has been enjoyed by so many folk, and raised so much money for charities (£65,000 to date), a scaled-down, ticket only event was hastily put together for Notton Residents and their families only. No funfair, no traffic, pedestrians only - a very different affair but still enjoyed by the 360 ticket holders.
The full explanation for deciding not to proceed with our usual disappointed so many people is on the News page here News!
